Carolyn has been the Network Manager for the ODN since its inception in January 2016. She is an alumni of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, with a background in contracting and operations in the NHS. She is passionate about working directly with clinical teams and commissioners to improve care for patients experiencing paediatric critical care pathways.

Mike's Bio

Mike has been the clinical lead for the ODN for Thames Valley and Wessex since January 2016. Prior to that, he was the Chair of the Wessex Paediatric Critical Care Forum for several years. He is a consultant paediatrician at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and also holds the role of Registrar with the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health (RCPCH). He is especially interested in improving pathways for patients aged 16-18 across NHS trusts.

Network Geography

The geography of the ODN covers all paediatric hospital services in Thames Valley & Wessex.

This includes Oxford and Southampton as tertiary centres, and 11 District General Hospital Trusts.

Kevin has been the clinical lead for the ODN for the network since summer 2016. He is a consultant paediatric cardiologist at Southampton Children’s Hospital with an interest in network approaches to improving care.

Aabir has been the clinical lead for the ODN for Wessex and Thames Valley since January 2016. He is a consultant paediatric neurosurgeon at Southampton Childrens Hospital. He is especially interested in improving shared access to patient records (including notes, imaging and tests) across NHS trusts.

Peta's Bio

Peta was appointed as joint clinical lead for the South West in December 2017 following the extension of the network. She is a consultant paediatric neurologist based at Bristol Children’s Hospital. She is currently leading on the development of paediatric neuro-rehabilitation services nationally as well as being involved in many other initiatives.

Ingram was appointed as joint clinical lead for the South West in December 2017 following the extension of the network. He is the lead for paediatric neuropsychology services in Bristol Children’s Hospital. He is passionate about encouraging clinicians to work outside of conventional boundaries and supporting the development of care pathways to improve equitable access to care.

The geography of the ODN covers the all paediatric neurosciences services in the Children’s Hospitals in Bristol, Oxford and Southampton. This includes links with 26 District General Hospitals through their referral pathways as well as links with community trusts and primary care.
