Thames Valley Spinal
About us
The Thames Valley Spinal Network (TVSN) was established in 2017. In October 2020 Specialised Commissioning confirmed 14 UK regional spinal networks, one of those being TVSN. The aim of the TVSN is to help define standards and pathways to improve access and care for patients presenting with spinal conditions electively and in emergency situations.
Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust is the designated Spinal Hub delivering a 24/7 emergency spinal service to patients across the Thames Valley region. OUH Spinal services are predominantly located at the John Radcliffe Hospital (JRH) and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC). The John Radcliffe Hospital is also the Major Trauma Centre for the Thames Valley region.
